5 ways to motivate yourself to go to the gym

I understand going to the gym is hard, trust me. It’s not the easiest or most fun thing to do at times. It can feel like a really hard thing to do daily, so I thought it would be a great idea to share how I actually do it.

Get into a routine
The reality is that motivation comes and goes. It’s not easy to always feel like going to the gym every morning so your best bet is making it a routine. I did getting a workout plan. This is a workout plan you can start with from the get-go. This doesn’t only help with gym anxiety, but it also gives a sense of achievement once it’ done.

Wear your workout gear in the morning
I think this is a psychological thing but it really works for me. I wear my gym kit first thing in the morning. It gets me in the mindset to workout for the day. If I can’t work out in the morning, I will wear my gym kit as soon as I get home.

Tell your friends
I tell everyone that I am going to work out on the days I really don’t feel like it. Why? People will ask how my workout was, so I feel more compelled to go.

I know this is so basic but fitspo is your new best friend. Something about watching others work out on Instagram just makes it so much more compelling to go.

Find something YOU love
Theirs a sport You love! Try different things, for me, it’s straight training. I just love noticing that I can lift heavier and heavier. If this is not your thing, try something else. There will always be a workout for you just don’t give up and don’t let other people tell you what you should be doing.
